EastEnders spoilers: Tanya Branning COULD return, hints Jo Joyner 'Never say never'
EASTENDERS has been without matriarch Tanya Branning for some time, but her actress has now appeared on morning show Lorraine to speak about whether or not she will return to the BBC soap.
Jo Joyner: I'll never say never about EastEnders return
Former EastEnders actress Jo Joyner appeared on Lorraine this morning to discuss everything Love Island and Ackley Bridge.
Host Christine Lampard couldn’t help but ask Jo what she called an “obligatory” question, on whether she would return to the BBC One soap.
Smiling, she said: “Never say never. At the moment I’m going straight into Shakespeare & Hathaway up until Christmas.”
She added: “I won’t be there for now.”
Her return to the show would find her up against EastEnders hard-man Danny Dyer, who plays Mick Carter.
Danny’s daughter Dani Dyer is currently taking Love Island by storm, and Jo is a long-time fan of the show.
She explained: “I’ve always been a fan [of the show] for years.
“Obviously, I’m a Dani and Jack [Fincham fan] myself.
“Dani’s done Danny really proud. She’s been fantastic.”
She even went on to explain why Dani and Jack work in the show.
Jo continued: “It’s always good to see good decent people win these reality shows. “
“Sometimes it can be the nastier you are, the more vile you are, the more votes you get – not in Love Island.”
Jo’s comments follow Danny appearing in Love Island last night, where he told Jack that he “approves” of his relationship with his daughter.
Tonight is the finale of 2018’s Love Island, of which Dani and Jack are in the running to win.
Meanwhile it has been hinted that Danny will be wrapped up in this year’s EastEnders Christmas story.
Rumours have been flying that Stuart Highway (played by Ricky Champ) will end up dead this Christmas.
Could Tina and her family devise a plot to kill Stuart after he framed Tina?
And more importantly, will they get away with it, or will someone end up in prison after an attack?
Either way, the Carters are certainly in for a busy Christmas period this year.
EastEnders continues tonight at 8pm on BBC One.
