BBC Breakfast: Carol Kirkwood SCREAMS after Steph McGovern does THIS
BBC BREAKFAST weather reporter Carol Kirkwood was left completely stunned after receiving a shock from Steph McGovern during her forecast this morning.
Carol Kirkwood in SHOCK at finding Steph McGovern behind her
It was business as usual for Carol this morning as she set about her regular 6.45am weather forecast.
But little did she know BBC Breakfast presenter Steph McGovern was sat behind her feasting on cupcakes.
Before Carol began her forecast she commented on the numerous amount of cupcakes on the tables surrounding her for the NHS’ birthday.
She announced: “Look at these lovely cakes! I’m quite sure Steph will be over as soon as she sees this.”
Sneaky Steph popped up behind Carol and waved to the camera, tipping viewers off to her presence.
Carol continued her forecast as usual, with Steph behind her eating cupcakes.
As Carol finished her report she threw back over to Steph.
But she still hadn’t realised Steph was sat behind her.
After a moment of silence and confusion for Carol, Steph spoke to Carol, making her jump.
Jumping up in shock Carol exclaimed: “Steph! Can you believe it!”
Moving back to Steph and the collection of cupcakes, Carol began accusing her of eating too many treats.
She yelped: “How many have you had?”
But Steph denied it, saying: “That’s not me, that’s these ladies!”
Carol continued: “Likely story, look at that - four cakes with another lined up.”
After Carol calmed down the pair introduced Naga Munchetty to take over the show.
Carol’s shock follows Dan Walker hitting out at his colleagues Louise Minchin and Charlite Stayt.
After discussing the World Cup Dan explained that American breakfast presenters smile a lot more than British presenters.
Because of this, Dan told the pair: “We need to smile a bit more.
“And say ‘awesome’ a bit more!”
BBC Breakfast airs weekdays at 6am on BBC One.
