Emmerdale spoilers: Lachlan White to AVOID prison as Rebecca succumbs to his manipulation?
EMMERDALE’S resident villain was may have avoided the worst case scenario after tonight’s episode saw Lachlan White successfully convincing Rebecca White to keep quiet about her supposed murder.

Last night’s episode of Emmerdale saw Lachlan (played by Thomas Atkinson) lying through his teeth to his aunt Rebecca White (Emily Head).
After becoming increasingly frustrated with herself for not being able to remember anything about the crash, Rebecca demanded that Lachlan tell her what he knew.
Seeing an opportunity, Lachlan told Rebecca that she was the one responsible for the horrific accident that killed Chrissie (Louise Marwood) and her father Lawrence White (John Bowe).
Entirely distraught by this supposed revelation, Rebecca broke down, worrying that her son Sebastian will be taken away from her.
Tonight’s episode saw Lachlan sealing the deal as his manipulation continued.

After spending the day worrying about losing her son, Rebecca was in a horrible way.
Unfortunately for her, Lachlan appeared once more to tell her what to do.
Distraught, Rebecca cried: “How do I just lock this inside me?”
“Do you trust me Rebecca?” Lachlan asked. “Then lets do what Robert said - lay the past to rest.
“Their ashes have been ready for a while, waiting for us. Let’s get our family home.

Later, the pair were seen at the wake of the late Ashley Thomas (John Middleton).
But Lachlan was still working on manipulating Rebecca.
“Mum would want you to be happy,” he pleaded. “No one needs to know.
“No hypnotherapy, and we never talk of this again.

Looking at her son, Rebecca seemed resolute in her decision.
Has Lachlan successfully convinced Rebecca to avoid giving herself up? Inadvertently saving him from the justice that he deserves?
Or will Robert’s (Ryan Hawley) suspicions seep in , leaving him to accuse Lachlan of hiding something once more?
