Tom Jones shocked to be given square of grass on This Morning
The Voice UK judge was on This Morning to talk about the ITV singing competition but left the studio with a bizarre present.
Sir Tom was stunned as Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield handed over a square of green grass referencing his track Green, Green Grass of Home.
The 77-year-old gracefully accepted the present following his interview but his immediate reaction sent viewers into meltdown.
“Tom Jones reaction to being given grass was so funny #thismorning @thismorning,” one viewer wrote.
Another added: “Oh some grass, how lovely...said nobody ever #Thismorning.”
A third continued: “Thank you for coming on our show have some grass........what #ThisMorning.”
“What exactly is @REALSirTomJones going to do with that square foot of grass? Did @Schofe or @HollyWills think of this? #ThisMorning,” someone else shared.
It came after Sir Tom revealed how he chose which contestants he wanted on his team on The Voice.

“Are you feeling confident?” Holly asked.
Sir Tom replied: “Yeah. I always do or I wouldn’t have picked them. Some of them went with other coaches which I would have liked.
“At least I picked them or they came with me.”
Describing the moment he knows that he wants someone on his team, he continued: “It’s amazing. It just happens at the time.

It came after Phillip was caught out by This Morning viewers when he confused Sir Bradley Wiggins with Bradley Walsh.
The presenter apologised for the slip-up during an interview about Sir Bradley and the parliamentary report about doping in sport.
