Lorraine Kelly jokes about appearing on Holby City
The actress was speaking on ITV’s Lorraine today when she revealed that Jemma Redgrave would be making a comeback as Bernie Wolfe.
Catherine has been absent from the BBC series after a break from her own role as Serena Campbell and now she has confirmed that her colleague would be joining her for a couple of episodes.
Speaking to Lorraine Kelly, she dished: “Jemma Redgrave is coming back to do a few episodes next month.
“But of course, you have to bear in mind that it’s about four months until you see that on the television.”

Catherine went on to add: “They would never just let that storyline die a death.
“It’s been too popular. [They’re] two women of a certain age, and two women who just happened to fall in love with each other.
“It has a lot going for it.”
The 52-year-old’s bombshell comes after Holby City previously teased a reunion for Bernie and Serena.
Taking to the drama’s official Twitter page last month, they shared two behind-the-scenes snaps from the emergency room.
“A little #berena moment from our last cast photoshoot to lighten up your start to the week… #mondaymotivation #HolbyCity,” they wrote.
Last year, Holby City producer Kate Hall promised that she would revisit Bernie and Serena’s storyline.

“I can promise there’s no way I’d work so hard to create something I believe in so fundamentally and then just kick it in the gutter,” she told Digital Spy.
“I’m overwhelmed and really gratified by the reaction that the story has received, because I’m very proud of it.”
Holby City continues Wednesday on BBC One at 8pm.
