The host was urged to “think of the children” watching when he accidentally blurted out the C-word, leaving those at home both shocked and amused.
The 40-year-old was presenting the morning show with Naga Munchetty when the slip-up happened, during a segment about Bruce Parry’s trip to Borneo.
It wasn’t long before his Good Morning Britain rivals Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan poked fun at the gaffe on Twitter.
“Now, what better way to gain an understanding of a community than to immerse yourself in their c***ure,” Dan said, before being left red-faced.

The Football Focus star quickly corrected himself by repeating what he had meant to say - "culture" - twice.
Co-star Naga, 42: “That was a mix of culture and country, wasn’t it?” she reassured while rolling her eyes.
No sooner had the embarrassing incident happened, that Susanna, 46, shared a story detailing what’d happened, writing: “#LiveTVProblems.”

Piers, 52, continued: “Dear oh dear. Think of the children, @mrdanwalker.”
Amongst the posts on Twitter, two users posted: “#bbcbreakfast 'immerse yourself in their #****ure haha nice one @mrdanwalker,” and: “Well @BBC, I must say I didn't think we'd be immersing ourselves into some good ol' #***ure today, I just snorted into my breakfast!”
