During filming for the second season of The Grand Tour, Richard’s electric super car spun off the road and burst into flames.
The host, known as The Hamster, announced that he is fine, but requires surgery for a fractured knee-cap.
As Rylan Clark-Neal gave updates on Richard’s condition during his showbiz segment on This Morning, he called him “the luckiest man on earth”.

However, Phillip, 56, swiped back, insisting: “Or the worst driver.”
As footage was shown of Richard’s horrific crash, Phillip added: “Thank goodness, he’s okay. He’s a lucky man.”
Co-host Holly Willoughby, 36, took her chance to show off her pun skills, joking: “The only thing he’s allowed to be speedy in now is his recovery.”

This came after Phillip was forced to intervene during a heated debate earlier in the show.
