RUTH LANGSFORD was forced to cancel her This Morning Live appearance today due to a “family illness”.

The 57-year-old was due to take to the stage in Birmingham alongside her husband Eamonn Holmes, but she had to pull out at the last minute, with Rylan Clark-Neal taking her place.
Ruth posted on Twitter: “So sorry I can't be on stage with Eamonn @This Morning Live today - a family illness means I have to be elsewhere. I hope you understand x”
Fans immediately commented on the post to send their well wishes, with one person saying: “Course we understand ruth family is more important my thoughts are with you and your family hope its nothing too serious xx”

Ruth took to Twitter to apologise to fans
So sorry I can't be on stage with Eamonn @This Morning Live today - a family illness means I have to be elsewhere
“Hope nothing to serious Ruth sending you and your family lots of love xx” a second shared.
A third wrote: “Work can wait. Family [are] more important hope all’s ok.”
Rylan - who is also due to host the ITV show alongside Holly Willoughby while Phillip Schofield is in Los Angeles on Wednesday and Thursday - also took to social media to announce that he would be taking Ruth’s place.

He posted: “Due to a change in the schedule am on my way back to Birmingham to host #TMLive with @EamonnHolmes. Round 3. Let's have ya!”
Eamonn then replied: “Now there's a Sunday Bonus! Looking forward to it mate. @TMLiveEvent.”
