Despite it being broadcast by CBS across the pond, the presenter will record a trio of special instalments at Central Hall Westminster between June 6 and 8.
The 38-year-old's new venue is close to the location of the London terror attack, which struck the capital last month and killed four people while injuring 50.
The news comes after James previously hinted during an interview with the Radio Times that he may shoot back home in England.
The Gavin & Stacey favourite said at the time: "We do have some stuff planned this year - which might involve being in the UK.

I felt a really long, long way from home
"We don't know if we'll be able to get it together but it's certainly something I'd love to do, for sure."
James' temporary location is just a few streets away from Westminster Bridge, where 52-year-old Khalid Masood reportedly mowed down several pedestrians with his car, before attacking a police officer with a knife.
The Carpool Karaoke star paid tribute to the victims on the day of the incident in an emotional speech on The Late Late Show.

"When something like that happens in your hometown, you don’t have a feeling of being glad that you’re so far away, what you feel is that you wish you could be there with loved ones to stand alongside them."
Guests for the shows have yet to be announced and the specials will be broadcast on Sky 1 and NOW TV the day after their US broadcasts.
