Ruth, 57 - who was on today's instalment of the ITV show alongside Jane Moore, Stacey Solomon and Linda Robson - heard the woman coughing away in the crowd, before she turned to face her.
Ruth eventually got up out of her seat, and tottering up to the lady in her heels, she said: "There you go my darling, it's horrible when you get the coughs. Anyway, enjoy the water!"
Today's show was as eventful as ever, with the audience member's coughing fit coming after Linda Robson had viewers in stitches as she reluctantly agreed to take on the 'Orgasm Challenge' live on television.

Ruth told Linda, who recently quit sugar on the show in a bid to lose weight: "You're sugar-free, you lost weight…" until the Birds of a Feather star finally nodded her head in agreement.
A giggling Ruth then said: "Tune in tomorrow to find out if she had the first."
This certainly wasn't the first sexual mention on today's show, with the panel also discussing whether or not a man's dance moves equates to how they are in the bedroom.

Ruth then proceeded to get up and show off her husband Eamonn Holmes' signature move, "The Steam Train".
Unsurprisingly, viewers immediately took to Twitter to share their opinions on the whole thing, with one person laughing: "Linda Robson absolutely killing me talking about orgasms on #loosewomen," alongside three laughing emojis.
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
