SINCE Peter Capaldi announced he was stepping down as Doctor Who, speculation about his replacement has been running wild.

Now it appears that Eastenders' favourite, Danny Dyer, has thrown his hat into the ring.
The cockney soap star said: "I'd be interested in it. I could see myself in the scarf and all that.
"I think I could do it easy. I'd keep my accent too," added the 39-year-old.
This comes just days after Danny hinted that he wants to leave Eastenders after playing Mick Carter for four years.
It is believed that Danny's contract ends in October and when asked if he was to sign a new one, he told The Sun on Sunday: "We'll have to see then."

"Four years is a long time. It's been really rewarding but there's other stuff out there," the star added.
Danny is setting his sights on doing something completely different, saying: "I'd love to show other sides to me, I loved theatre and all that."
What's more, Danny's legion of fans have tweeting their desire to see the Eastenders' star as the Doctor.
One tweeted: "It's so patently obvious that Danny Dyer should be the next Doctor Who that I don't even know why there's a debate."
