Shane Richie Jnr: It's not looking good for Coleen and Ray
He said he was left "heartbroken" as he watched his mother's emotional appearance on Channel 5 series In Therapy.
"It's never nice seeing a parent cry, especially mum, she's my best friend," he explained. "It was heartbreaking to watch.
"I've not seen her cry more than five times. One was in Big Brother last time round and one was when she hurt her back and then when there have been deaths in the family."
When Ruth Langsford asked how the future looked for Coleen and Ray, Shane confessed: "You know, at the minute it doesn't look great. I hope they stay together.

"Ray has been there since I was 12, he's been a great step-dad to me and he's a friend."
He added that while his mum's Celebrity Big Brother appearance came as a surprise to the family, both he and Ray have been "glued to the telly every night" and assured the panel that he's not worried about Coleen talking about their marriage.
Shane said that he believes that the 51-year-old's stint in the Borehamwood bungalow will also be good for the couple.
"I think a few weeks apart will do my mum and Ray the world of good," he continued. "Maybe absence will make the heart grow fonder."

Coleen said she fears her marriage will break down
The youngster went on to reveal that he has changed his name to Shane Nolan as a show of solidarity and will surprise his mum with the news when she leaves the Big Brother house.
Last night, Coleen broke down on In Therapy as she admitted she was scared her marriage to Ray would fall apart much like her first marriage to Shane Richie.
She told therapist Mandy Saligari: "I can't bare the thought of it all failing again. I really love him but I always feel like I'm having a go at him. It's horrible."
