The 48-year-old comedienne confessed in a recent interview that she could not bring herself to watch the festive instalments in which she features as a host.
"I watch [Bake Off] later on my own, wincing at how posh I sound," she told the Radio Times.
Speaking about how she would be spending Christmas Day, Mel went on to say: "It's a Mary Berry recipe drowning in booze."
The episodes will mark Mel and her comedy partner Sue Perkins' last on the BAFTA-winning series before its departure to Channel 4 following a bidding war.
It will also be the last time fans of The Great British Bake Off will see of judging line-up Paul Hollywood and the queen of cakes Mary Berry together after the latter said she would not be heading to Channel 4 with the show.
Mel and Sue, 47, announced that they would be leaving the programme shortly after it was announced that The Great British Bake Off was jumping ship.

Only Paul, 50, has remained from the original team and will be back on the show when it returns on Channel 4.
The Christmas edition of The Great British Bake Off will see the return of some of the most memorable amateur cooks from the show.
Among the previous contestants will be Norman from series five, who was best known for describing pesto as "exotic" and Chetna from the same run, who cooked a signature dish which ended up being the technical.
The returning bakers will be put through their paces once again by the judges with a series of culinary challenges.
