The professional dancer, 34, last night became the third celebrity of this year’s line-up to be eliminated, following the knockouts of Lisa Snowdon - who also faced a tough time from Piers - and Danny Baker.
Speaking this morning to Piers and Susanna Reid, she insisted: “Martin is lovely. He’s a lovely man, he’s just misunderstood.”
“Not really,” Piers disagreed. “He’s a weirdo.”
“No!” Ola hit back. “He’s a lovely man.”

I would have loved to stay much longer
The former Strictly Come Dancing regular has made no secret of her disappointment at being kicked out of the jungle, and reiterated the point today.
“I would have loved to stay much longer,” she admitted. “But I’m happy to be by the pool now enjoying cocktails.
“It was a nice bunch of people. I was very lucky to be in the jungle with a lovely bunch of nice people.”
The race to be called King or Queen of the Jungle is now a three-horse race, with Scarlett Moffatt, Adam Thomas and Joel Dommett expected to reach the final.

Martin is in fourth place with the bookies (9/1) at this stage, with everyone else a distant long shot; starting with Larry Lamb (40/1).
Carol Vorderman is the favourite to follow Ola back into the real world, with odds of 11/5, closely ahead of Sam Quek on 9/4 according to bet365.
