The show has been in production for a year and is set to finally make its streaming debut on November 18, with Clarkson reuniting with former Top Gear co-hosts James May and Richard Hammond.
“Some of it is better than anything we’ve done before," he told The Sun.
“The opening six minutes before the show starts is moving. I’m very proud of it.”
Not only does it pack an emotional punch, the opening gambit - shot in the Californian desert - boasts no less than 6,000 extras.

From there, the 56-year-old said fans will find the trio in familiar territory, saying: “Sometimes we could do very strong car programmes and sometimes we just c**ked about. It’s the same with this.”
Top Gear has since returned to the BBC with a new presenting line-up, led by Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc - although the former has already stepped down.
Clarkson has never spoken in detail about his thoughts on the returning programme, and now only says: “I would never comment on the efforts of other people. I watched the first two episodes.
"I could see what they were doing. I knew enough after watching two. I’ve been busy.”
