The Walking Dead season 7: Chilling alternate death scene sees Negan bludgeon new victim
SPOILER ALERT: Do not read the following article if you have not watched The Walking Dead season seven premiere.
Chilling alternate death scene shows Negan bludgeon new victim
It was the moment fans had waited months for as Negan's victim was finally revealed in one of the most brutal scenes in The Walking Dead's history.
Viewers were both shocked and outraged as the leader of The Saviors bludgeoned Abraham Ford to death before taking his barbed wire baseball bat Lucille and killing Glenn Rhee.
However, leaked footage shows a completely different victim and it doesn't look pretty.
In a bid to stop viewers from finding out which character had been murdered in the season seven opener, show runners filmed a number of death scenes and now one of them has made its way onto the internet.

Maggie is the unfortunate victim in the alternate scene
In the short clip, Maggie Greene can be seen being hit over the head with Negan's weapon of choice.
Glenn can then be seen begging the super villain to kill him instead, as he tries to save his pregnant wife, however he is quickly knocked out from behind Saviors member Dwight (Austin Amelio).
The leaked video also shows shots of Sasha and Abraham looking at Maggie frozen with fear as she is bludgeoned to death.
As Negan hits her over the head, she looks up at him and spits blood at him as he teases: "Oooh, look at that! Taking it like a champ!"

It was actually Maggie's husband who was killed in the graphic episode
Fortunately for Lauren Cohan, her character actually survived the very graphic scene but she was forced to watch on as her husband was killed.
Speaking about his death, Steve Yeun, who plays Glenn, said: "It's always tough to see people exit the show. As an actor you come to terms that things might be ending for somebody.
"You go over all the things you experienced together and what a great time it was for everyone. So that way, it's beautifully terrible. It's bittersweet."
The Walking Dead continues on Monday on FOX.
