‘He’s been on more TV quizzes than me!’ The Beast calls out contestant on The Chase
CHASER Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett did a double take on The Chase this evening after he recognised a contestant from other game shows.
The moment when the Chaser recognises contestant
The 51-year-old brain box said that professional poker player Jon looked familiar as the pair prepared to go head-to-head in the first chase of the episode.
Mark was heard telling quiz master Bradley Walsh: “What do you call a golfer whose a much better player than he lets on?”
“Bandit?” Bradley, 56, replied to him. “Yeah, that's him. He’s been on more TV quiz shows than I have!”
“Seriously?” the host said to The Beast incredulously, who hit back: “Seriously, he’s a stone cold, sombrero-wearing, moustachioed bandito.”
His words left the studio audience and Jon’s team mates in stitches, before the player from the Wirrall cheekily replied: “I’ve done one or two!”
It seems that Mark may be correct as Jon managed to outrun him and make it back to the team after taking the higher offer and a step closer to the Chaser.

The team went into the final round with a £36,000 cash pot and managed to walk away with the amount after a tense, nail-biting finish after The Beast kept getting questions wrong.
Once the team had bagged the big money prize, The Beast was heard telling them: “I gave that away.”
There was much praise for Jon on social media as many viewers took to Twitter to discuss his barnstorming performance on The Chase.
