‘Who are these idiots?’ Viewers blast reality TV special of Pointless Celebrities
IT SEEMS that fans of BBC quiz show Pointless were less than impressed with the quality of contestant on tonight’s celebrity edition of the programme.
Paul Sinha claims The Chase is better than Pointless
This evening’s episode was a reality TV special and featured stars who had made a name for themselves on constructed shows, such as Made In Chelsea, Big Brother, The Apprentice and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
Reality stars Jimmy Bullard and Carl Fogarty who were representing the jungle, Craig Phillips and Nikki Graham from Big Brother, Ruth Badger and Solomon Akhtar from Lord Sugar’s boardroom, and Jamie Laing and Alexander Mytton from the SW3 crowd were all competing for a £2,500 jackpot for a charity of their choice.
However, viewers watching at home were not pleased with the brand of celebrity gracing their screens and were quick to lambast the lot of them on social media.
“Very accurate show title. @Richardosman #Pointless #Bbc1 #Madeinchelsea,” posted one disgruntled audience member.
Another person wrote on Twitter: “Today's "celebs" are surely the dullest #Pointless crowd ever.”
“Who are these idiots on #PointlessCelebrities #Pointless,” tweeted a third viewer, while someone else added: “Talk about Pointless Celebrities! Totally #Pointless.”
But it wasn’t all criticism, the episode did also garner praise from some.

The stars of Big Brother were knocked out first
Made In Chelsea stars Jamie and Alex made it through to the final round after beating off stiff competition, unfortunately they failed to secure the pointless answer needed to bag the big money.
Nevertheless, the duo came tantalisingly close with all three of their guesses but were thwarted at the last minute.
Although they could not win the cash prize, all of the celebrities who took part in the show were given £500 for their charity.
While this episode may not have been on par with most, hsts Richard Osman and Alexander Armstrong recently confessed that they ened up making Mary Berry gasp after swearing loudly during filming.
Pointless Celebrities continues on BBC One tomorrow night at 5pm.
