Archie Panjabi confirms exit from The Fall and rules out The Good Wife spin-off appearance
THE FALL star Archie Panjabi has confirmed that she won’t be making an appearance in the drama’s upcoming third season - and nor is she likely to pop up in the recently-confirmed spin-off to The Good Wife.
Archie Panjabi stars with Gillian Anderson in The Fall, right
The actress, who played Tanya Reed Smith in the first two series of the Gillian Anderson-fronted drama, blamed scheduling conflicts for her exit.
"Sadly, the schedules didn't work out with that, but I absolutely will be tuning in to watch it, as not only am I a fan of the show, I'm good friends with Gillian and very fond of Jamie [Dornan] and the team,” she told Digital Spy.
"So I'm looking forward to that, which I think is out soon."
Asked about working with Anderson and Dornan, who helped make the programme a huge success, she beamed: "Gillian's a lot of fun, very intelligent, has great ideas and creates a lovely atmosphere on set. Same with Jamie - I had less time with Jamie but still we had a good amount of fun on set.

"When you can have fun on set it just makes the job a lot easier. I believe your performances are much better as well if you have a good chemistry with the other actors.”
She also played Kalinda on the first six seasons of The Good Wife, but left amid rumours of unrest between her and lead star Julianna Margulies.
However, now that a new show focusing on Christine Baranski’s Diane Lockhart is confirmed to be in production, it doesn’t sound likely that fans can look forward to seeing the investigator again.
"I think if and when I was asked I would explore it, but at this stage I haven't really thought about that,” she explained.

"When I hung up the boots I kind of imagined they were hung up for good, I don't know if I would or not. The boots probably don't fit me now as well."
Most recently, the 44-year-old has been seen in Power Monkeys, a political sitcom for Channel 4 about the EU referendum.
The Fall returns to BBC Two later this year.
