She's back! The X Factor confirm Monica Michael is this year's Wild Card
SHE may have lost out on a place in Rita Ora's final three girls, but it's now been confirmed that Monica Michael will be performing in The X Factor live shows.
The X Factor have confirmed this year's Wild Card is Monica Michael
Last weekend's Judges' Houses - which had a live studio audience - saw 12 contestants make it through to next week's shows.
However, despite Monica not being one of them, she has now been confirmed as this year's Wild Card.
The ITV show confirmed the exciting news on their official Twitter profile this evening.
They shared a photograph of the singer, alongside the caption: "We are VERY excited to announce that this year's #XFactor Wild Card IS...@monicamichaeluk! #XtraFactor"

After the announcement, Monica then took to her own Twitter to post: "Hi guys! I know Halloween is upon us but this is not a trick... I AM BACK!!!! #XtraFactor #WildCard"
Simon Cowell previously hinted that he wanted to bring back Monica, admitting that the show "wouldn't be the same without her".
He explained on The Xtra Factor: “There was always going to be a wild card. It’s not a given, but we always like that opportunity.
"Funny enough we all spoke to each other on Monday… it is crazy not to bring one person back."

The judges are all huge fans of Monica
The latest X Factor news comes after it was revealed earlier today that the show wouldn't be bringing in a fifth judge, because of a lack of planning.
A source revealed: "Another idea has been tossed on the scrapheap pile because it wasn't planned well enough.
"The fifth 'legend judge' was a strange idea, created out of a fear Strictly [Come Dancing] was pulling far ahead in the ratings. Up until a couple of days ago it looked like it would happen," they then added to The Sun.
