Ade Edmondson's 'mind-blowing' food wins Celebrity MasterChef
ACTOR and comedian Ade Edmondson is no laughing stock after being crowned the Celebrity MasterChef winner last night.
The former Young Ones star battled through six weeks of heats to win with pan-seared venison, stuffed sea bass and raspberry sorbet.
Receiving his trophy from judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace, Edmondson, 56, said: “I’m very, very chuffed. I’ve spent most of my life being second, so to actually come top is... it feels very weird, but I’m very, very pleased.”
Torode said Edmondson’s dishes were “mind-blowing”.
Alongside finalists Les Dennis and Janet Street-Porter, Edmondson had to conquer the tricky art of patisserie and cook up a three-course Michelin standard meal.
He added: “It’s the trophy, it’s what I wanted when I came here, it’s fantastic.”
