TV Pick: The Beatles' Please Please Me - Remaking A Classic
FIFTH years ago the Beatles (pictured) recorded their iconic album Please Please Me in one famous 12-hour session at Abbey Road.
To mark the 50th anniversary, leading artists including Joss Stone, Mick Hucknall and the Stereophonics try to record the same songs, in the same timescale, in the same studio.
Among those paying their own tribute to the album’s success are Burt Bacharach and some of those people lucky enough to have been there on the day 50 years ago, including engineer Richard Langham and press officer Tony Barrow.
