'Intense' Netflix true crime series exposing 'heinous' neighbours streaming now
The Netflix documentary series features a deadly explosion and racially motivated violence.
Streamer Netflix has just added a new four-part series to its true crime library, which serves as a spin-off of the shocking documentary Worst Roommate Ever. Each episode of the series explores a different real-life case involving neighbours whose behaviour escalated to unimaginable heights. Through firsthand interviews, police bodycam footage, and dramatic reenactments, the series exposes stories involving intimidation, violence, and even homicide investigations.
The streamer teased: "This intense documentary series details true stories of neighbours gone bad, from heinous fraud schemes to senseless acts of violent retribution." Worst Neighbor Ever is the series in question and all four episodes are available to stream now.
The trailer for the series introduces the four perpetrators in question - Frances Zaayer, Mark Leonard, Jamal Thomas and Caroline Herrling - and how they each, in their own way, caused all hell to break loose.
The short video includes a recording of a 911 call, during which someone cries: "He shot my neighbour!"
Netflix's trailer goes on to show how one neighbour would "be out there mowing her yard naked" and how there would be "loud noises at bizarre times".
One interviewee adds: "She would follow me to the grocery store...it doesn't matter what we did, she was non-stop calling the police."
Later in the trailer, video footage of a harrowing explosion is shown as one interviewee shares: "The news media couldn't do justice to how extensive the damage was."
One of the suspect's homes was also found with drugs and "16 firearms" inside.
One fan took to Reddit to say how the “Worst Ever” franchise is "by far the best true crime format ever seen".
They added: "I’m someone that’s always been a binder of true crime and feel like Dateline episodes and stuff have just gotten increasingly tired and boring.
"This format is the answer for the genre. This is the best and most compelling s*** I’ve ever seen. Let’s please do whatever we can to get more of this." [Sic]
