Britain's oldest farming couple's show gets major update as Yorkshire Vet returns
Yorkshire Vet is back this week with two of the country's favourite farmers set to make an appearance.
Yorkshire Vet has quietly shared a massive update on beloved farmers Mr and Mrs Green’s hit series. The countdown begins until Peter Wright, Julian Norton and the other vets return for the next series of The Yorkshire Vet which premiers on Thursday, August 13, at 8pm, on Channel 5.
This opening episode has been teased as “one of the most powerful and emotive episodes ever”, as it follows Peter’s dream to create a space in Yorkshire for people to remember their pets. While this debut episode is all about Peter’s passion project, The Yorkshire Vet has confirmed on its Facebook page that farmers Steve and Jean Green will be popping up. But what’s even more exciting is the post also confirms some very exciting news regarding the couple’s own show.
The Yorkshire Vet Facebook post continues: “We’ve also been filming a third series of ‘At Home With The Greens’. So fear not, much more Greenery to come.”
And while there has been no talk of an official start date just yet, fans couldn’t be more excited to welcome Britain’s oldest farming couple to their TV screens.
Someone posted: “Cannot wait for the Greens! They deserve a medal. Salt of the earth through and through.”
A second echoed: “They are such hard working people. Can't wait for the new season.”
Another wrote: “That’s made my day. Everyone needs more Greens in their lives!” as a fourth commented: “I am over the moon love the family and so pleased Yorkshire Vet is back on.”
Since The Yorkshire Vet started in 2015, the Greens have been regular faces cropping up in need of Peter’s help with their livestock.
The couple, who reside at Stoneyborough Farm near Thirsk, North Yorkshire, were long-time clients of vet Alf Wight, also known as All Creatures Great and Small author James Herriot.
At Home with the Greens is a Yorkshire Vet spin-off series that takes a look at the married duo’s way of life as they continue to put traditional farming methods into practice.
