Prime Video drops 'high-octane' trailer for new thriller perfect for John Wick fans
Fans of exhilarating action thrillers like the John Wick franchise won't want to miss this new series from Prime Video.
A trailer for an upcoming action-comedy series from Prime Video already has fans thrilled before its premiere next month.
Featuring two A-list actress and directed by Ant-Man’s Peyton Reed, the eight-part comedic thriller is shaping up to be the perfect summer viewing.
It’s also ideal for fans of the streamer’s own hit series Reacher or the blockbuster John Wick franchise starring Keanu Reeves as it involves a pair of friends whose relationship is challenged when one of them turns out to be a deadly professional assassin.
Described as “high-octane” and “fast-paced”, the action kicks off when an enigmatic individual from the assassin’s past emerges from the shadows and has them on the run.
Octavia Spencer (The Shape of Water) portrays Debbie, the best friend of Judith, played by Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso) in Ride or Die, a brand new series that promises equal parts heart, humour, and jaw-dropping thrills.

A new trailer for the series released this week begins with a montage of the pair’s heartwarming friendship before Judith reveals her true identity and they embark on a madcap adventure across Europe.
Joining leads Spencer and Waddingham is a brilliant supporting cast, which includes Ed Skrein as Billy, Calam Lynch as Sam, Savannah Steyn as Queenie, and Jamie Parker as David, Jacky Ido as Jacques.
Plus, the series will feature special appearances from Sylvia Hoeks (Blade Runner 2049) as Ana and Bill Nighy (Emma.) as the Director.

An official synopsis reads: “Ride or Die follows best friends Debbie Claybourne (Spencer) and Judith Burton (Waddingham) who thought they knew everything about each other, except Judith turns out to be an international assassin.
“When a mysterious figure emerges from Judith’s past and a hit goes horribly wrong, both of their worlds are turned upside down as they’re forced to go on the run together. It’s a race against time and a road trip across Europe, with law enforcement, highly trained assassins, and some very dangerous criminals at their heels.”
Prime Video users are already eagerly awaiting the new series, which will debut all eight episodes on Wednesday, 15th July.
