CNN issues breaking news alert - and it's humiliating for Donald Trump
The US leader suffered another crushing blow as he gears up for the midterm elections.

CNN brought their afternoon show to a halt as it issued a major breaking news update, which left Donald Trump red-faced. On Friday (June 5), John Berman returned to the airwaves to deliver the biggest stories hitting America. The politician suffered backlash on Thursday when he was spotted "sleeping" during an event at the Oval Office. But minutes into his show, he was forced to interrupt regular programming to welcome chief analyst Harry Enten, who delivered another crushing blow to the President ahead of the midterm elections.
He revealed how the Republican leader is collapsing amongst his own base in rural America due to the growing concerns for the US economy. He began: "Iowa has traditionally been a field of dreams for the President of the United States, but it's quickly turning into, potentially, a field of nightmares."

It was at this point that new statistics flashed up on screen showing the politician's declining popularity rating amongst rural Americans. He went on: "There seems to be a rural revolt going on in this country against Donald Trump.
"According to Fox News, he was easily winning them back in October of 2024 versus Kamala Harris. He was 18 points ahead; the exit poll even had a bigger margin. But look at where he is now, he is underwater, underneath the cornfields.
"He is now 14 points underwater, which is more than a 30-point switcheroo against the President of the United States. As I said, there appears to be a rural revolt going against Donald Trump."
The broadcaster went on to reveal one of the biggest reasons why Americans are losing faith in their President. Mr Enten declared: "One of the biggest reasons seems to be, simply put, it's the economy, it's inflation.

"Take a look at these statistics on rural voters on Trump and inflation. When he ran against Kamala Harris in 2024, he was trusted by 37 points. Now he is 19 points underwater with rural voters on inflation, that's a further 50 points difference against the President of the United States.
"Rural voters, like the rest of the country, are turning against Trump on the key issue that got him elected for his second term back in 2024." It didn't take long for viewers to flock to X - formerly known as Twitter - to share their concerns online.
One user penned: "This spells disaster for Republicans ahead of the midterms. Whoa", as another agreed: "He better be, because every day now is scarier as f**k than the last." A third echoed: "Trump is collapsing in fly over states."
Meanwhile, another argued: "Comparing an approval rating with how he did in an election poll is nonsense. Those same people would never vote for Kamala." Another added: "If you believe anything CNN publishes, you might be a dumba**."
