A Good Girl's Guide to Murder has just concluded its gripping second season, but what lies ahead for Pip Fitz-Amobi (played by Emma Myers)?

Having uncovered the truth behind the disappearance of Jamie Reynolds (Eden H Davies) by reopening the case of a notorious child killer, Pip remains frustratingly no closer to bringing down predator Max Hastings (Henry Ashton) or unmasking whoever has been sending her sinister threatening messages.

Fortunately, the series is based on a bestselling trilogy of novels by author Holly Jackson, meaning you can readily discover the answers by popping into your nearest bookshop or library.

However, for those who simply wish to wait for the next series of the BBC's celebrated adaptation, a plot summary offers some indication of what might unfold.

While we have no desire to give everything away, rest assured that Pip and Max's bitter rivalry is far from resolved.

She will also uncover some deeply disturbing truths behind the threatening messages she has been receiving, including the chilling taunt of "Who will look for you when you're the one who disappears?" written repeatedly across her laptop.

It will prove to be Pip's most demanding case to date, as she battles PTSD and panic attacks stemming from her traumatic confrontation with Charlie Green (Jack Rowan) and the death of Stanley Forbes (Misia Butler) at the conclusion of season two.

Finally, Pip's relationship with Ravi Singh (Zain Iqbal) will be stretched to breaking point, alongside her bonds with Cara Ward (Asha Banks), Connor Reynolds (Jude Morgan-Collie), and Lauren Gibson (Yali Topol Margalith), as she withdraws into her university workload and her fixation on bringing Max to justice.
