Terrifier 3 director Damien Leone promises to top gross-out shower scene in next film
The extreme slasher is released in UK cinemas on Friday with its director promising to up the gore even further in the next instalment, Terrifier 4.
The highly anticipated slasher film Terrifier 3 is set to hit UK cinemas this Friday (October 11), following reports of audience members walking out, vomiting and suffering panic attacks during preview screenings.
At the UK premiere, attendees were given sick bags and warning notices about the extreme violence and gore were plastered on doors.
The third instalment in the film series follows siblings Sienna Shaw (Lauren LaVera) and Jonathan (Elliott Fullam) as they try to rebuild their lives after a terrifying encounter with supernatural serial killer Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton).
Social media has been buzzing with discussions about one particularly gruesome scene that was leaked online ahead of the film's release. The scene shows a young couple sharing an intimate moment in a shower block before falling victim to Art's chainsaw.
The Terrifier films are known for pushing the boundaries with their kill scenes, a trend that writer and director Damien Leone has vowed to continue, reports the Mirror.

In a recent interview with the Mirror, Leone revealed that he's already contemplating how to outdo his third film. "It's one of the staples of this franchise... always surpassing what we did in the prior instalment. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't getting harder and harder," he admitted.
"Pressure is always mounting. There's only so many things you can do to the human body for one, and we're not just competing with ourselves, we are with every other horror movie that comes out. Everybody's trying to one-up each other. Everybody's trying to go for the most gross-out kills they can."
Leone confirmed Terrifier 4 weeks before the release of Terrifier 3. Although a script for the next film has yet to be written, Leone confirmed he had already conceived a 'couple' of ideas for show-stopping kills that could surpass his already infamous shower scene.
"On my phone I have my notes. I'll always put down ideas," he said. "I have a lot of seeds planted for big kills. There's a couple."
While extreme gore is a hallmark of his films, he insists he never wants to stray too far into scenes that become distasteful.
"You can really start dipping in to an area of extreme distaste," he explained. "So it's trying to walk that line of accessibility on one end, then on the other end, you're just stepping over the line and pushing the envelope."
