Fans of The Chase have taken to social media to blast the show after accusing host Bradley Walsh of awarding a player a "wrong answer"

The Chase viewers were fuming on the latest episode of the ITV gameshow (September 4) after a player was allowed a "wrong answer".
The newest episode of the ITV gameshow saw four new contestants join host Bradley Walsh and Chaser Anne Hegerty to battle it out in a game of trivia in the hope of taking home a cash prize.
But fans soon began fuming at the show, accusing host Bradley of allowing a wrong answer during the player's cashbuilder round.
Contestant Fran, a digital product manager from Twickenham, was asked: "What object do people typically throw at glass houses," to which she replied "rocks".
With the well-known expression typically calling for "stones" to be thrown, Bradley admitted he would "allow" the answer - causing fans to blast the decision.
"That £1000 should've been taken away for that 'rocks' blunder. Sorry, but them's the rules," said one fan.
"Rocks, Bradley?! F***ing rocks?! It's f***ing stones! I call VAR on that!," fumed a second, while a third added: "Rocks???? That is not the saying Bradley".
One even tagged ITV directly, blasting: "How on earth was rocks accepted as the answer?"
Fran took £5k to the board to take on chaser Anne, otherwise known as “The Governess” and successfully managed to bring her pot home with the team's winnings totalling £19k.
Contestant Barny was sent home during his round after an unsuccessful chase, with Sandra and Mitch putting on great performances and banking £14k between them.
They went into the final with force answering an impressive 16 questions correctly, but chaser Anne was on top form and managed to catch them with a whopping 32 seconds left on the clock.
Fans complimented the top quizzer for her impressive performance, with one referring to it as a “massacre”.

Meanwhile, Anne made a heartfelt appeal to the show's fans ahead of its 15th anniversary episode.
The 66-year-old quiz expert appeared on Loose Women alongside her co-star Shaun Wallace, also known as the Dark Destroyer, on Monday (September 2) to discuss the significant milestone for the popular quiz show.
In a unique twist for the special episode, four contestants who all share the same name as the Chasers will face not one, but two quiz experts in a major shake-up of the show's format.
However, the conversation soon shifted to the upcoming National Television Awards where The Chase is set to compete against Loose Women. Anne humorously remarked: "You beat us last year and we're not having that again.
“@anne_hegerty crushed it,” a fan said. Another added: “That was a fu**ing massacre!” A third penned: “Governess is too good. The breadth of knowledge is so impressive.”
The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5pm
