Olympics 2024 fans 'switch off' as they all have same BBC coverage complaint
Sports lovers who have tuned in to watch the 2024 Olympics on BBC have been less than impressed with the coverage in Paris.
BBC fans have been outraged over the coverage of the 2024 Olympics over in Paris. Taking their complaints online, fans have fumed that they are missing out on seeing certain sporting events, with them bashing the broadcaster for their scheduling.
Today's programming, on BBC One, should include coverage of the first three gymnastics apparatus finals of the day and the women's singles in the badminton competition. Meanwhile, posting to X (formerly Twitter), one fan told of their seemingly confusing ordeal for trying to watch the competition's tennis final.
They wrote: "I open BBC iplayer to watch the tennis final. I choose the tennis option. 'Now we want to show you the shooting. You can watch the tennis on BBC1' I come out, channels, BBC1. Tennis.
"5 minutes later 'We are now going to the gymnastics, you can watch the tennis on the app' WTAF [crying laughing emoji]".
Another social media user added: "@DawnLoweActress @BBCSport @DjokerNole Typical BBC - and then you have 3 bbc commentators commentating on the same piece of apparatus at the gymnastics and someone in the studio endlessly discussing the same thing - and I'm paying for it - Grrrrrrr !"

Someone else seemed to be annoyed about missing out on particular sports, writing: "When there is gymnastics and climbing going on bbc are showing badminton and table tennis", with another adding: "BBC needs to get it together. Showing gymnastics and table tennis when athletics going on. Thank God for discovery+".
"@gbrgymfan Which is exactly why I have a Discovery+ subscription! Don't trust BBC coverage," another person agreed in frustration.
Team GB are trying to pull themselves higher up the league table rankings today with the British quartet take part in the triathlonn mixed relay, while Keely Hodgkinson will compete in the 800 metre final tonight. So far the team have managed to bag an impressive 10 gold medals. They have also secured 12 silver and 16 bronze, placing them sixth overall.

Unfortunately, fans at home can't watch every event as the BBC had to change the way it covers the Olympics after Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) bought the European TV rights back in 2015.
A deal between the BBC and WBD states it can show 250 hours of live coverage on TV and through a broadcast stream – translating to only show two events happening live at the same time.
The deal took effect for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics and will be in place until 2032 - up to and including the Summer Games in Brisbane.
