Emotions were at an all-time high in the latest episode of 22 Kids and Counting, as Sophie Radford opened up about her struggles.

Ahead of the instalment, Channel 5 viewers saw a voiceover saying: “When one of the family hits rock bottom, the others rally to pull her out of a rut.” While speaking about her upcoming 30th, Sophie confessed she was dredging it.

In a separate cut away, her mum said: “I’m not wanting to interfere, but she seems to be in a really bad place and I’m not sure I can leave it any longer.”

Sophie confessed she feels as though she’s let herself go and doesn't like much about herself as she told viewers she's lost all confidence.

Deciding to spring into action, her family wanted to throw her a party for her birthday, although it was clear she wasn’t keen on the idea when they mentioned it over the phone.

After a while, they managed to persuade her to take a girls' weekend away as Sue and sisters Chloe and Katie convinced her she’d have fun.

While there, the girls tried their best to cheer up their sister, with fun activities such as a burlesque dance class followed by a nude sculpture class.

However, things quickly took a turn when it all became too much for her when taking part in the dance class.

Although Chloe had planned the lesson to boost her sister’s confidence, the plan backfired as Sophie said: “I couldn't feel less sexy if I tried!"

Admitting she didn't feel comfortable carrying on, Sophie wanted to end the session, despite her family's best efforts to keep her in the lesson.

Taking a moment to herself, Sophie told viewers: “I would rather just not come to be honest. I’m going to stop because I’m getting a bit emotional and I just can’t be a***d with it. I just don’t want to do it.”

As the Channel 5 star broke down in tears, Chloe revealed she had no idea how down her sister was feeling about herself.

In a cutaway, Sophie explained she didn't feel as though her sister knew her anymore as that activity is something she didn't want to do.

It seemed as though all was forgiven as the ladies found the nude sculpture session hilarious, which broke the awkward tension between them.

As the episode drew to a close. Sophie confessed getting away had been refreshing for her and she felt relaxed while they enjoyed a cocktail-making class.

Having a moment alone, Sophie and Chloe highlighted they hadn’t spent as much time just the two of them.

As Chloe asked how she’s been feeling, her sister replied: “Just feeling a bit low, same routine day in and day out. Just feeling really crappy in myself, no confidence whatsoever.”

Giving some advice, her sister told her that when she finds herself in a rut, the best thing to do is do something different.

Following the sweet moment, Sophie said: "All the family, all my siblings always play a huge part in making me feel better so when it comes to just talking to them, I always feel so much better."

22 Kids and Counting is available to watch Sundays on Channel 5 from 8pm
