Coronation Street Kit's real identity 'revealed' - and he’s not Bernie’s son
Coronation Street fans are convinced Kit Green is lying about who he really is in a huge twist.
Coronation Street Kit Green’s real identity has been ‘uncovered’ by fans - and he’s not Bernie Winter’s son.
The bent copper, played by Jacob Roberts, first rocked up to the cobbles this year, as Bernie’s (Jane Hazlegrove) long-lost child. Soap favourite Bernie gave up Christopher ‘Kit’ Green for adoption almost thirty years ago.
She eventually tracked him down a few months ago - but Kit didn’t want anything to do with her. Meanwhile Bernie’s twins Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Paul (Peter Ash) were left stunned to find out they had another brother.
What’s more, Kit also had a part to play in sicko Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) getting sent to prison for the murder of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton). Kit planted Lauren’s DNA in paedophile Nathan's van and framed him.
Since then, Kit has become a regular on the cobbles - but this week Kit showed his true colours when he shared the good news that he was buying Gemma and Chesney’s property to rent out to them.
Shortly after though, his dark side shone through as he made his feelings perfectly clear towards Bernie, speaking to her quietly about his dislike for her.
Now, fans reckon the Kit Green we have seen on screen isn't actually the real Kit Green. On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one person mused: “I don't think Kit is Bernie’s son I think he has stolen the identity of his housemate.”

Other fans shared their theories - with plenty claiming he could actually be the real Kit Green’s adoptive brother and “wants revenge.”
“Maybe her [Bernie] son was adopted by Kit's mother, and got treated better than Kit,” said a second person. A third chimed in and wrote: “I agree but he is not housemate he is the adoptive brother.
“So Kit's biological parents adopted Bernie's real son. That's why he was at the house and knows all the history and has the surname green. Kit wants revenge for his brother and possibly the turmoil she caused his family whilst he grew up.”
Echoing their thoughts, another penned: “Me too thought that something not right bout him defo twist to it.” A fifth wrote: “Maybe had another brother who was adopted by Kit’s adoptive parents and is seeking vengeance for him?”
