Jane McDonald makes heartbreaking admission about late partner before he died

Jane McDonald spoke about her late partner Eddie Rothe in a repeated episode of Jane McDonald: Cruising USA, which was filmed before he died in 2021.

During one segment, Jane made the most of her cruise and decided to get a chocolate body scrub at the spa.

"This feels wrong," Jane admitted as the therapist applied the chocolate scrub. "You know what it feels like? It feels indulgent and it feels slightly naughty but also fabulous.

"I have never been smothered in chocolate, saying that we are lucky to get pond cream in the chemist in my day."

When referring to Eddie, she added: "My old man is in for a treat, I'll get the Nutella out when I get home."

Jane’s partner Eddie died at the age of 67 after battling lung cancer.

The couple had known each other since they were just teenagers but went on to reconnect later in life.

Jane and Eddie reunited in the early noughties and got engaged back in 2008.

In a previous interview, Jane addressed whether she was ready to find love after Eddie's death.

She told MailOnline: “I'm not bothered. I'm really not. I don't feel like I need someone in my life to make it fulfilled.

"We have a coping mechanism. I have a great group of girlfriends now, who are all in the same situation, we have a great time, we go out, we have dinner, drinks, and parties round each others' houses."

“I don't feel like I need anyone,” Jane added.
