Naga Munchetty was replaced on Thursday's BBC Breakfast by one of her co-stars. The 48-year-old usually hosts the breakfast show from Thursday to Saturday each week with co-presenter Charlie Stayt but was missing from the iconic red sofa this morning.
Stepping in to replace her was Nina Warhurst, who recently returned from maternity leave after giving birth last July. Naga has been hosting BBC Breakfast since 2014, while stand-in presenter Nina, 43, joined the programme in 2019.
Naga was last seen on the show on Saturday and is yet to break her silence on why she's missing from the programme. Nina returned to the show on January 11 after being last seen on-screen in July, just days before welcoming her third child, a precious little girl.
Fans defended the mum-of-three after a troll attacked her appearance during her first week back. She retweeted a post from somebody who said: "Nina I wish you would do something with your hair fluff it up it looks like it's been plastered down No offence intended."
She sarcastically responded: "Ahhhhh it's good to be back!" with a sunglasses-wearing emoji. Nina's fans weren't having any of it and took to the comments section to defend the BBC star against the troll in question.
