Endeavour: Inspector Morse returns for first look at series six
Endeavour continues tonight (Sunday, February 23) with the final episode of season seven. The drama serves as a prequel to detective series Inspector Morse. The pilot episode aired on ITV back in 2012 and has been going strong ever since. In August an eighth series was also announced by the British broadcaster, and the show is nearing the end.
Who is in the cast of Endeavour on ITV?
Endeavour Morse - Shaun Evans
Shaun Evans returns to the show as the notorious Detective Sergeant.
The series is set in Oxford during the 1960s and 70s and shows a young Inspector Morse after he has left Oxford University.
Throughout the show viewers see Morse work his way up from Detective Constable to Sergeant.
Actor Shaun Evans has also starred in War Book and The Scandalous Lady W.

Fred Thursday - Roger Allam
Roger Allam plays Detective Inspector Fred Thursday in the series.
He first appeared in the pilot episode and has been a main cast member ever since.
Fred Thursday is a Second World War veteran who served as a soldier in the British Expeditionary Force.
Roger Allam, 66, is known for his roles in Game of Thrones, The Thick Of It and V for Vendetta.
Reginald Bright - Anton Lesser
Anton Lesser plays Police Chief Superintendent Reginald Bright in the series.
He first appeared in the first series and continues to be a main character in the show.
Bright is considered to be an ‘old school’ police officer and is worried about courtesies when dealing with high profile people.
Anton Lesser, who plays him, has also featured in Game of Thrones, The Crown and most recently in The Trial of Christine Keeler.

Jim Strange - Sean Rigby
Sean Rigby plays Police Constable Jim Strange at Oxford City Police.
He first meets Morse in the pilot episode and the pair become close friends.
Actor Sean Rigby, 30, has played the character from the first series.
He has also starred in the historical period drama called Gunpowder.

Dr Max DeBryn - James Bradshaw
James Bradshaw takes on the role of Dr DeBryn - a Home Office pathologist.
He is responsible for helping Oxford City Police identify the dead bodies.
Bradshaw has also featured in Hollyoaks and Primeval.
Caroline O’Neill also stars in the show as Inspector Thursday’s wife Winifred Thursday.
His daughter Joan is played by Sara Vickers and his son Sam is played by Jack Bannon.
Endeavour series 7 concludes tonight at 8pm on ITV
