Stacey Dooley: Strictly Come Dancing partner Kevin Clifton SLAMS Craig Revel Horwood
STRICTLY COME DANCING is almost at an end, and while many of the show’s contestants are looking forward to the next live show, Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton are still wondering about last week’s scores.
Strictly: Stacey reveals ‘prop boys’ distract Kevin with football
Strictly Come Dancing is less than two days away from the highly-anticiptated final this weekend.
And as competition hots up each of the contestants have been poring over their performances to look for more points they could score in the final routines.
Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton arrived on It Takes Two this evening to discuss last week’s outing.
And host Zoe Ball was quick to bring up Craig Revel Horwood’s score of eight for their Viennese Waltz.
She asked: “Craig gave you an eight, he said the first half was an American Smooth Viennese - and you looked quite cross.”
This prompted Kevin into a tirade about the routine, saying: “I don’t know what I’ve got to do for Craig to be honest.
“He gave us a nine for the Charleston as well because we missed one swivel on the left foot! He just doesn’t want to do it for us.”
Kevin went on to say: “I looked back on [the dance] and thought it was a beautiful Viennese Waltz, and I thought you danced it amazingly.”
And if that wasn’t enough for viewers, Kevin then went on to quote his sister, Joanne Clifton, on why he should have had a better score.
He went on: “I spoke to my sister Joanne - who is obviously world champion, Strictly winner we all know about that - and I said what did you make of it?
“And because Craig made a comment about the footwork, she said: ‘Her footwork was correct.
“‘I’ve watched it back so many times, she didn’t do it wrong',” Kevin recounted
Stacey yelled in appreciation: “Yes Joanne Clifton!” before Zoe joined her in shouting: “Take that Craig! Take that!”
Kevin continued to describe Joanne’s scrutiny of the dance, adding: “And I asked what about it being too much out of hold?
“[She said] ‘Right, I’ve looked back through everyone’s Viennese Waltz through the series’ - and she wrote them all out on a napkin and said: ‘You’re the third highest most Viennese Waltz content! And they got praised for it!’”
Stacey and Kevin achieved a 36 for their Viennese Waltz and a 39 for their Charleston.
This gave the duo a total of 75 points for the evening, and placed them third out of the five contestants.
Unfortunately last weekend saw the exit of Lauren Steadman and her partner AJ Pritchard, who received 54 in their performances.
They were set up against Ashley Roberts and Pasha Kovalev in the bottom two, in which Ashley came out triumphant.
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 6.30pm on BBC One.
