Emmerdale spoilers: Adam Barton actor Adam Thomas to return and split up RobRon?
EMMERDALE favourites Aaron Dingle and Robert Sugden have certainly been through a lot in their time as a couple, and although they have prevailed through thick and thin, could Aaron’s old pal Adam Barton have something to say about it?
Ryan and Adam Thomas support Heineken loneliness campaign
Emmerdale last saw Adam Barton (played by Adam Thomas) in 2017 when he was arrested for the murder of Emma Barton (Gillian Louise Kearney) - even though he didn’t really kill her.
After the incarceration, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) arrived on scene to break him out of the police van, sending him away to safety.
Express.co.uk exclusively caught up with both Adam and Ryan Thomas to discuss their latest Brewing Good Cheer campaign in association with Heineken.
During the conversation Adam revealed he would return to the Yorkshire Dales in the future - but there would be a catch.
He explained: “It was a great storyline to leave on, and it was an absolute ball to film and work with Jeff [Hordley] and Danny [Miller] because I get on well with them.
“I’m very lucky because they’ve left the door open for me - but I’m not ready to go back just yet.”
Despite being unsure about his return to the show, he did hint at how he would like to make a comeback ITV’s soap.
He joked: “I want to be Aaron’s [Dingle] boyfriend because Aaron gets all the good storylines.
“So if I could come back I would like to turn gay and be Aaron’s boyfriend, for sure.”
He went on to add: “And any chance to kiss Danny would be amazing!”
But after all Aaron and Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) have been through, could Adam stand a chance at running away with Aaron for himself?

The brothers were keen to promote Heineken’s Brewing Good Cheer campaign as it is “all about ending isolation and bringing the community together,” says Ryan.
“Christmas is a time of loneliness and to get all of these people in one room,” he continued.
“I think there are 100 of these lunches all around the UK, so yeah - what Heineken are bringing to the table is really clever because we feel the warmth and the excitement.”
Ryan concluded by saying the pubs featured in Emmerdale and Coronation Street “promote the pubs".
“You always laugh and giggle at the situations that happen in the pub,” he explained. “But they’re a good reminder of the pubs".
On the campaign itself, Ryan said: “I remember coming out of Celebrity Big Brother and meeting all my family in the pub.
“It was an important time for me – and it was great to be surrounded by so many people who love and care for you.
“Pubs are the heartbeat of the local community and something that’s why the Rover's Return is so important in Coronation Street.
“They’re hubs of people meeting friends and family, talking through problems to celebrating – there’s no place like it!”
While the duo have been working together on this campaign, they gave no hints as to when they will return to their respective soaps - if at all.
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV.
