Strictly Come Dancing 2018: Zoe Ball stunned as Gorka Marquez takes swipe at co-star
STRICTLY COME DANCING’S sister show It Takes Two was home to a surprising moment today as Gorka Marquez made a shock dig at one of his co-stars.
The Strictly Come Dancing professional took a swipe at Giovanni Pernice on the BBC Two show.
As result, Zoe Ball looked visibly stunned.
It unfolded as Zoe accidentally called Gorka by Giovanni’s name.
“Not Giovanni, sorry, Gorka!” she corrected before screaming: “Oh no! Ahh.”
You can call me Giovanni but with a six pack
“You can call me Giovanni but with a six pack,” Gorka cheekily added.
The dancer then put his hand to his mouth in mock shock at his naughty dig.
“Ohhh yes! Touché my friend, touché!” Zoe retorted.
The programme also featured Charles Venn and Karen Clifton who were kicked out of the competition in yesterday’s results show.
Despite putting on an acclaimed Rumba they were still given the chop.
In the dance off, the two faced Ashley Roberts and Pasha Kovalev, with judges choosing to save the latter pair.
Although, Craig Revel Horwood had dubbed Charles’ efforts as the best male celebrity Rumba the show had seen.
It was quite a journey for the duo as it was the fourth dance off for Charles and Karen.
Karen gave glowing praise of her student Charles to Zoe.
“The Rumba is a dance that everybody fears but it really worked with him and the character.
“For the first time it didn’t feel like student and teacher, it felt like two professionals,” she said.
After a montage of their time in the competition, both of them were overcome with emotion and cried on air.
Speaking about the video, Charles shared: “It feels unreal, that doesn’t feel like it was me.
“According to my kids I couldn’t dance, they’re eating humble pie now.”
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 6.35pm on BBC One.
