Strictly Come Dancing 2018: Joe Sugg announces HUGE format change to Zoe Ball before final
STRICTLY COME DANCING 2018 contestant Joe Sugg announced a huge format change for upcoming Strictly episodes while speaking to Zoe Ball on It Takes Two this evening.
Strictly: Joe Sugg reveals MASSIVE format change
Popular YouTuber Joe Sugg has already reached the Strictly Come Dancing quarter-finals with his professional dance partner Dianne Buswell, but now all looks set to change.
Joe will be dancing the Salsa to a Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat “megamix” this weekend.
Joe revealed he and Dianne will not be alone on the dance floor this weekend.
The 27-year-old will also be “thrown around” and lifted by several other female dancers.
Yeah! Me! Do you know what? Hats off to all the girls lifting stuff because there’s skill in that, isn’t there?
He said: “It’s going well. I’m enjoying it. We’ve got extra dancers as well which is so exciting.
“This routine is something else. It’s big, it’s very big!”
Dianne said: “He’s doing really well. It’s a very fast dance but when it all comes together with the extra dancers… it’s really a special number, actually.”
Zoe then teased: “There’s some lifts and some throwing around. Not necessarily Dianne being thrown around.”
Joe gasped: “Yeah! Me! Do you know what? Hats off to all the girls lifting stuff because there’s skill in that, isn’t there?
“You’ve got to keep your arms in. I keep flaying out and hitting people in faces. It’s not good!”
Zoe smiled: “I can’t wait to see the coat. Good luck! Joe and Dianne!”
The pair also discussed their Commercial dance routine to 90s hit Jump last Saturday night.
The pair used real basketballs as props while wearing basketball kits in a bid to make it through to another week.
Judge Craig Revel Horwood wasn’t impressed and criticised their use of props as “out of sync”.
Tonight, Joe smirked: “I loved it,” as Dianne added: “It was an ambitious routine, a lot that could have gone wrong. I’m just surprised we didn’t drop a ball.”

Zoe noted: “I know - so stoked about that. It was a very impressive routine.”
Dianne went on to say: “I thought it was quite in-sync myself. I understand they’re watching it from their little angle there [though] so maybe from that angle it did look a little bit out of sync.
“I mean this wasn’t absolutely perfect, but with balls and stuff like that it’s so hard to get it.
“Well he’s got a longer neck than me, you know, all those kind of things.”
Joe cheekily quipped: “I’m a little bit taller.”
It Takes Two airs weekdays on BBC Two at 6.30pm.
