This evening saw Strictly Come Dancing contestant Kate Silverton arrive on It Takes Two to talk about her progress in the show.
But in the final moments of the show host Zoe Ball asked Aljaž Škorjanec about his newborn niece - who he announced was born on Saturday’s show.
He explained: “Zala is her name and she’s doing really well!”
Little did he know that his sister and her new baby sent him a video message full of encouragement for the week ahead.
She said: “We are wishing you the very best of luck on Saturday night, we love you. Smash it!”
Gobsmacked by the video, Aljaž held his face in his hands as Zoe commented: “Oh he’s gone!”
Zoe then presented the dancer with a present - a baby outfit with his face on which also read: “World’s Best Uncle”.
Utterly elated by his present he held it up and exclaimed: “Oh! I’m the world’s best uncle! And it’s my face!”
The joy left him wiping tears from his eyes, causing Zoe to say: “Oh look! Oh I love seeing a man cry!”
As he composed himself the show continued, and went on to speak about Kate’s upcoming performance.
Kate and Aljaž went on speak about their dance for Saturday - the foxtrot.
They will have to look out for fellow celebrity Danny John-Jules, however, as he appeared on the show earlier on and was told some important
Zoe told Danny: “Would it surprise you to know that you are in the top five sir?”
As a graphic showing off the top five dancers appeared in the studio, she added: “Look! You are joint third at the moment!
“Stacey and Kevin are just behind you. How does that make you feel?”
He went on to joke: “Well I’m a North Kensington and Chelsea pensioner!”
Laughing, he added: “No that’s great! Well I mean I’m, kind of like, roughly where I was aiming for.
“I knew I was never going to get to the top.”
But Zoe was not having it, as she yelled: “Hang on! It’s early days yet! You can’t say that!”
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 6.45pm on BBC One.
