Stacey Dooley: Strictly Come Dancing star’s next dance REVEALED after leaderboard victory
STACEY DOOLEY and her professional dancing partner Kevin Clifton will once again be putting their best foot forward for Strictly Come Dancing at the weekend, but will they be able to top last week’s performance?
Strictly: Stacey Dooley reveals she’s dancing the Samba
The journalist has been presented with a notoriously difficult dance for Strictly Come Dancing this weekend.
Stacey Dooley and Kevin will be dancing a Samba to Tequila by David Hirschfelder and The Bogo Pogo Orchestra when they step on the dance floor on Saturday.
The 31-year-old has already admitted she’s “worried” about the dance.
Stacey posted an Instagram video to her profile yesterday where she revealed she would be taking on a Samba.
Samba’s very different to the Foxtrot but don’t worry. Actually I am worried
“So this morning, I’m off to go and film some bits and bobs,” she told the camera.
“And then I’m going to go off and do a voiceover and then at 6pm, I’ll see you there Kev for training,
She continued: “And this week we’ve got Samba. I hope I’m allowed to tell you that. I think I am.
“Samba’s very different to the Foxtrot but don’t worry. Actually I am worried.”
Last week’s instalment of the competition saw Kate Silverton tackle a Samba and she didn’t get the best results.
The judges were quick to point out that Kate had struggled with the dance, although couldn’t fault her enthusiasm.
Head Judge Shirley Ballas began: “You have a beautiful charisma and you bring the music to life.
“But you have to understand in latin you cannot step forward with a heel on your full weight - too many foot-faults for me.
“All a bit clunky, but not your best night tonight. But you always look extremely glamorous!”
Craig Revel Horwood added: “I thought that dance belonged behind the news desk actually.”
While Bruno Tonioli expressed some sympathy as he noted: “It’s a difficult dance to do, isn’t it my darling?”
Kate was pleased with her performance, and announced: “I loved it. I had a lovely time.”
But Stacey could be on to a winner after she topped the leaderboard last weekend with her Foxtrot.
Stacey and Kevin received a lot a praise and 32 points for their efforts.
However, one couple had to go and it was Katie Piper and Gorka Marquez who bowed out of the competition.
Strictly Come Dancing 2018 continues Saturday at 6.45pm on BBC One.
