Dancing on Ice 2019 cast: 'I'm a risk-taker!' Mark Little confirmed as eighth contestant
DANCING ON ICE has been revealing the cast for the upcoming 2019 series, and now it has been announced Mark Little will be the eighth celebrity to be on the show.
Loose Women: Saira Khan reveals Dancing On Ice appearance
Australian actor, Mark Little, has been revealed to be the eighth celebrity who will be competing on this year’s series of Dancing On Ice on ITV.
The former Neighbours star, who describes himself as a "risk-taker", will be joined by Melody Thornton, Ryan Sidebottom, Gemma Collins, Richard Blackwood, James Jordan, Brian McFadden and Saira Khan.
He’ll be donning his ice skates and performing in front of ice skating legends, Torvill and Dean who will be the main judges on this year’s show.
Let's hope that he won't be taking too many risks on the ice since previous contestants have broken a few bones on the reality television programme.
"How exciting this is!” Mark said after the announcement was made.
“My skating is pretty rickety. I'll be trying to find the elegance, the strength, the smoothness.
“I’m a bit of a danger man, a bit of a risk-taker, and I do like dancing so let's see what happens,” he finished.
Mark played Joe Mangels in Neighbours for three years until 1991, and his appearance on the Aussie soap led to him getting some roles here in the UK.
Mark has since appeared in British shows such as Emmerdale and Casualty.
However, Dancing on Ice isn’t his first taste of reality television.
In 2010, the Aussie actor appeared on Celebrity MasterChef, where he impressed the judges but narrowly missed out on progressing past the first round.
"I guess the cat's out of the bag,” began Melody.
“I’m so excited, I can't wait to see you and I can't wait to do some skating for you!"
She and Mark will be competing against former England cricketer, Ryan Sidebottom, whose involvement was revealed yesterday on Talksport Radio yesterday.
Lorraine: Brian McFadden confirmed as Dancing on Ice contestant
“I’m immensely excited,” he said when asked about being on Dancing on Ice.
“It’s obviously something totally different, massively out of my comfort zone.
“I’m just going to enjoy the ride, I don’t take myself too seriously.
“I’m going to embrace it, enjoy it, and have a laugh and a giggle along the way.”
This Morning presenters, Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, will be presenting Dancing On Ice yet again this year.
Dancing On Ice will return to ITV later this year.
