What will happen in Mother’s Day on BBC?
The official BBC synopsis reads: “Following the 1993 Warrington bomb attack which left two boys dead, a grieving family and a Dublin housewife form an unlikely alliance to bring about peace and heal communities on both sides of the Irish Sea.”
The TV movie divides its time between Warrington, where Wendy and Colin deal with the grief of losing their 12-year-old son, and Dublin, where Susan finds herself so disgusted by the bombing that she holds a public meeting.
This public meeting becomes Peace 93, a protest group that holds events across the UK and Ireland.
Most notably, they held a rally in Dublin attended by a reported 20,000 people which can be seen in the trailer for the film.
