MasterChef champion is Shelina
SHELINA Permalloo was crowned winner of BBC1’s MasterChef last night by judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace who said she brings “sunshine to a plate”.
After beating finalists Andrew Kojima and Tom Rennolds, the 29-year-old from south London, said:“I am completely and utterly overwhelmed. The guys were so amazing and I never thought it could happen to me.”
Her winning menu was an octopus starter, mutton curry and a dessert of mango cannelloni filled with lime curd.
Torode said: “She always wears a smile and cooks with care to assault the senses and bring sunshine to a plate.”
