Copycats in turmoil in hunt for Duchess Kate's 'old' dress
IT is the outfit that has thrown “CopyKates” into fashion turmoil.
The Duchess of Cambridge’s stylish tweed coat dress, pictured left, by now defunct fashion label Jesire, is proving almost impossible to find.
She chose the stylish 1940s-style garment to wear to a retrospective of the works of artist Lucian Freud on Wednesday in London, her first solo public engagement.
Kate wore the dress to the National Portrait Gallery on Wednesday

It is a beautiful dress and Kate looks fab in it. I love wearing it too!
“We’ve Googled, we’ve eBayed, we’ve phoned the former PRs and ex-stockists of the brand, and this piece is turning out to be a total mystery,” admitted one fashion expert last night.
The dress is believed to be several years old and cost just £60 although a royal aide declined to say how much Kate paid for it.
Ann Skidmore, a leadership and management trainer from Lichfield, Staffordshire, was wearing the same dress at work yesterday.
"I purchased it at Jesire in Birmingham in September 2010. It was in the sale at £60 and originally was £120 I think," she said.
