Pals who left my boy to die should face murder charge
THE mother of a boy stabbed to death in one of Britain’s busiest train stations last night said that friends who left him lying in a pool of blood should be charged with his murder.
Sofyen Belamouadden was killed in a fight at London’s Victoria Tube station last Thursday at rush hour.
The 15-year-old was chased by up to 35 youths in school uniform, before being dragged to the floor in the ticket hall and knifed repeatedly.
Up to 12 teens could be charged with his murder.
The dead boy’s mother, Naima Ghailan, 43, of Acton, west London, said: “He was lying there in a pool of blood and nobody was helping him. His friends left him to die and they didn’t want to know, not one of them.
“Every one of them killed him whether they were with him or against him. They are all responsible for his death and they should all be charged with murder.”
She described her son as a “normal boy” who was not part of a gang and did not carry a knife.
The mass brawl is thought to have been the latest escalation in the violent rivalry between schools in west and south London.
