Father cut from will in billion-dollar revenge
MICHAEL Jackson has taken revenge for years of childhood abuse by cutting his father Joe out of his £610million will, it was revealed last night.
A will he drafted in 2002 has been found which divides his billion-dollar-estate between his mother, three children and at least one charity.
It was a final desperate bid by the pop superstar to let the world know of the suffering he endured as a child from the 79-year-old iron-willed patriarch of the Jackson clan.
Before his death, Jackson told of his abuse by the man he was told to call “Joseph”.
He revealed how his father beat him and that “just a look would scare you”. Joe Jackson has always disputed his son’s abuse claims.
Last night, Michael’s former lawyer John Branca revealed the will’s existence after Jackson’s mother Katherine, 79, filed court papers to take control of her son’s estate in an attempt to prevent a tangled web of creditors and hangers-on from looting the star’s remaining fortune.
Until Mr Branca came forward, searches had failed to find a will but documents that shed light on Michael’s murky finances reveal he claimed to have £342million in assets and debts of £200million in 2007.
