Austin bombing suspect blows himself up after shootout with police
AUSTIN bombings suspect Mark Anthony Condui has died following an explosion and exchange of fire with police in Round Rock, Texas.

After six Austin bombings in a matter of days, the suspected serial bomber who has terrified the Texas city this month blew himself up on the side of a Texas motorway in a hotel car park.
He detonated an explosive in his car as SWAT police officers approached after an exchange of gunfire.
Police and FBI tracked the man to Round Rock, a town near Austin, where they attempted to detain him.
An explosion then rang out followed by a shootout on the highway near the town.

One police officer also sustained minor injuries during the incident.
The suspect has now been named as Mark Anthony Conduit.
Using mobile phone technology, police hunted the suspect killer to Round Rock.
Police had earlier released CCTV footage of a suspect delivering parcel bomb packages from a FedEx store in south Austin.

Police have not confirmed whether the suspect pictured in the FedEx footage is the same man killed today.
President Donald Trump celebrated the news on Twitter.
He said: “AUSTIN BOMBING SUSPECT IS DEAD. Great job by law enforcement and all concerned!”

The Austin bombings began on March 2 when the first package exploded, killing Anthony Stephan House as he picked it up at his home.
On March 12, two explosions took place in quick succession, the first killing teen Draymen Mason and injuring a woman, and the second injuring a pensioner.
On March 18, a tripwire-activated explosion left two men in their 20s injured.
And earlier this week a package erupted at a FedEx facility in San Antonio, injuring one man.
