Shoot out between police and alleged terrorists in Cambrils
Police shot the attackers after a car ploughed into pedestrians in an attack linked to the ISIS terror attack in Barcelona just hours before.
The Cambrils attack killed a woman, while the Barcelona attack left 13 dead. Police confirmed that 130 people were injured in both attacks.
Bystanders ran for their lives as gunfire broke out close to the Cambrils’ beachfront promenade, while tourists took cover indoors as bullets tore through the air.

Tourist Fitzroy Davies, from Wolverhampton, told the BBC about how he saw police jump out a car and shoot a man “shouting something”.
The witness said: ”They - 'pop, pop' - did a couple of shots and he fell down.
"He stood back up and then he stepped over the fence and he started, he was taunting, smiling and he carried on walking to the police, and then they gave it to him again, a couple more shots and then he fell to the ground."

Where is Cambrils in Spain?
Cambrils is a popular seaside resort, just 70 miles down the coast from Barcelona, in the northeastern Spanish region of Catalonia.
The coastal town is located on the Costa Dorada, also known as Spain's Golden Coast, on the Mediterranean Sea.
Cambrils is also not far from the town of Alcanar which has been rocked by a gas explosions linked to the Barcelona and Cambrils attacks.
Catalonia has a population of 7.5million and is home to the lively beach resorts of Costa Brava as well as the Pyrenees Mountains.

Its pro-seprarist administration is holding a referendum in the autumn over whether the region should break away from Spain.
But Madrid has rejected the move as unconstitutional and remains completely opposed to the idea of secession.
