A Marine Le Pen victory would send shockwaves across Europe
Three European Commission officials said the bloc had been left reeling after Brexit and face an “existential crisis” with Marine Le Pen the next to threaten a political earthquake.
It comes as Marine Le Pen continues to enjoy positive poll results - with one political scientist predicting a shock presidential victory in May.

He said: “I don’t even talk about those crazy ideas of France leaving Europe, which would both kill Europe and make France choke severely.”

The latest poll by Ipsos Sopra Steria says if the election were held next Sunday the Front National (FN) leader would win the first round over centrist Emmanuel Macron.
However the poll results indicate she would still lose to her rival in a second round run-off.
